Thanks Lori, for posting that photo of your very fyll kitchen. How did you know that was just shat I was wishing for - a photo with a bunch all together. I feel like I might keep both my chambers in one kitchen (I don't know - ccopper and blue? - yellow and copper maybe - something to shoot for!)
Me, I love to cook - all from scratch, all organic or locally grown (preferably by me or someone I like!) Oh Spring! The Farmers Markets are coming!!!
Chipper, is'nt it funny that we both named our blue stoves after birds? Bluebird and Robin? Both harbingers of spring and happiness!

Lori,
Don't worry, I do know how to cook. I got that covered!!But only have one Chambers stove.
My Hispanic friends and relatives can't get over my carne guisada and Hubby's homemade tortilla's. We are pretty good taquito makers for a couple of white folks!!
You do have the Idlehour Cookbook?? With a Chambers it will turn you into a gourmet. Last week one of my co-workers asked if I cook everynight and I said yes. We work late sometimes till 8 opm. Too tired and it's late to cook the traditional way after a 10 hour work day!! She asked me to do a basic pantry and spices list for her and jot some recipes down. She was going out and buying her a crockpot. Her house is all electric and a Chambers is not possible for her. Hubby is always telling her what I cooked the night before and what's in the t-well that day. I always share my lunch (leftovers from the night before) when we are getting slammed @ work.
Oh how I enjoy working with those 20 something year olds!! Been there, done that!!

Berlyn,
Ok, we are in business. Hubby is retired and about to start his summer in Alaska job. When he gets back in September he can run the joint. You guys cook everything the night before, I'll clean and package and Spanky can sell it. You'll also have to teach me how to cook so I can cover when you go on vacation. We'll be rich!!! We'll add French Press coffee and Irish oatmeal. Who can resist?

Austin isn't too bad of a drive from Dallas. I happen to make faboo breakfast tacos. I also have a killer recipe for Chile Verde which, I think, will adapt quite well for the t-well (which I don't have). Those fresh tortillas would be awesome along side a bowl of chile verde!
Sorry, I can't give you my recipe. It's my lil secret. You want it.... you gotta take me!

Lori,
Got our name.........
Los dos loco chicas taquoria.
The 2 crazy girls tacos.
Now try to say that fast!!
Remember, a hole in the wall place, low overhead, nothing has to match cause it's a taquira joint, CASH ONLY, breakfast and lunch only-targeting the working class. Hubby could convert one of the Chambers to a cart, with a propane bottle for fuel and we could peddle our goods on the street during UT sporting events & down on 6th street. We'd have to serve up Menudo for the drunks.
Imagine us pushing a Chambers on wheels. People would remember us!!

And you'll get big and burly pushing around a 500lb cart too, up and down all those hills.
Actually something like what you're describing could work here in Wichita too. Only instead of a hole in the wall you just park a trailer in the parking lot of the ACE hardware, and you'll make a mint.

Fatfutures - you're in. Breakfast tacos and Chile Verde, perfect. Berlyn - what is 3 crazy girls tacos? I love the name. As a women owned business we could be business loans. I'll draw up the business plan. Lowracer, ready to come home? Mrs. V. I know you'll want to help too. Everyone else, care to invest?
Lowracer, the copper stove is much lighter because it doesn't have the heavy panels. Also, Grandma Bowen can easily be adapted to be mobile. I also have a stove top t-well type system (Like a thermodome, but it it electric).

Berlyn,
One problem, I can't cook. I'm great with a microwave, but I'm just beginning to re-learn the basics of cooking. When I was learning to cook as a child I was easily distracted. My first cake split into three pieces and had a knife baked into it. So, I collect stoves and cookbooks.

I wish y'all would bring your taquito stand up here to CNY. We could use some good food.

Lowracer,
Come back home to Texas!! Since I'm on round 2 of steroids I could kill 2 birds @ once. Making $$ and a good workout pushing Big Bertha on wheels around Austin!! Cancel my gym membership.
Lori,
We could change the name to...
Los dos loco chicas & amigos taquiria.
As our Chambers pals want to invest and open up franchises.
I really think we are on to something. Think KFC, Mc Donalds, Wendy's.
Asfan,
Would you like to introduce the Northern people to Tex-Mex cuisine??
